Slope Riders is a class game that every pupil plays on their own device. Each round starts with quiz questions, and every right answer adds ink. Then pupils draw a slope from the start flag to the finish, test ride it as often as they like, and the board plays everyone's run in heats of five.
Riders score by sledding through circles. Smaller circles are worth more, and reaching the flag adds 1,000. Wrong answers never take ink away, so every child has enough for a slope, and the children who read carefully have more to play with.
Pick your questions, how many rounds (one to five) and how long for questions and for building. Pupils scan the QR or type the 5-digit code at sageteachers.com/join and pick a rider. Three short boards explain the game, then each round is the same four beats: questions, build, watch, standings. Each round is a new world with a new kind of line: speed lines on the Moon, bouncy lines in the Volcano, sticky lines in the Jungle. The podium comes after the last round.
Use a ready-made set, type your own, or generate questions on any topic for the age of your class. Every question shows on a preview screen first, so you can fix anything before a single child joins.
How does Slope Riders work?
Pupils join on their own devices with a code or QR. Each round starts with questions: every right answer adds ink to their tube. Then they draw a slope from the start flag to the finish and test ride it as often as they like. The board plays everyone's run in heats of five, and the standings come up after every round.
How do pupils score points?
Their rider scores by sledding through circles on the course. Smaller circles are worth more, from 100 to 900, and reaching the finish flag adds 1,000.
What if a pupil gets a question wrong?
They see the right answer for a few seconds and move on. Wrong answers never take ink away, and everyone starts each round with enough ink for a simple slope.
What devices does it work on?
Laptops, Chromebooks, iPads and phones. Pupils draw with a finger or a mouse. Nothing to install and no pupil accounts.
Is it free?
Each class game uses one token. Pupils never pay and never need an account.
Want a straight quiz instead? Lightning Round puts the question on the board and every pupil answers on their device. Parkour is a platform race with questions at every finish line.
