Shape, space and measure is the half of primary maths that arithmetic practice never touches — 2D and 3D shape, position and direction, coordinates, angles, symmetry, perimeter, area, volume, length, mass, capacity, time and statistics. This app gives you a short test on it every week, already written, with the diagrams drawn. Pick a year group, a term and a week, print the sheet, then put the same test on the whiteboard to go through the answers together.

How long each test is
Every question carries its own drawn diagram — a cube stack to count, a jug to read, a shape to reflect, a bar chart to interpret — because in shape, space and measure the picture usually is the question.
What is shape, space and measure?
The strand of primary maths covering 2D and 3D shape, position and direction, coordinates, angles, symmetry, perimeter, area, volume, length, mass, capacity, time and statistics — everything that isn't number and calculation.
How many questions are in each test?
Year 1 has 2, Year 2 has 4, Years 3 and 4 have 6, Year 5 has 8 and Year 6 has 10. Each test is one side of A4 and takes about ten minutes.
Can I print the tests?
Yes — one click gives you a two-page PDF: the question sheet for the class and the answer sheet for you, with every answer in red.
How do I go through the answers with the class?
Press Launch. The test goes on the whiteboard as a slideshow — a countdown timer, then one question at a time with its diagram, then the full answer sheet at the end.
Which year groups are covered?
Years 1 to 6, three terms a year, twelve weeks a term.
Do I need to install anything?
